Student taking off a year to live in a different continent?
I've heard it's dirt cheap to live in places such as India and Thailand. I'm in highschool now, but when I get there, I'm interested in taking off a year from either college or grad school and I would really love to live in Africa. Africa is generally very cheap. Just do research on what area you plan on visiting, some areas require special shots and/or medication.

Africa is Not really a good place for a girl alone, Neither is most of the world. Perhaps a good program interning for a Charity or Wildlife group would give you some other folks your age to travel with. Now that you have posted your email address, you will no doubt find out Why the world is a dangerous place for a single young girl to travel. Safety is a great skill to learn if you want to travel.
