What is your favorite political speech of all time?

What is your favorite political speech of all time?
My favorite is the Bobby Kennedy's Day of Affirmation speech, which was given to students in Cape Town, South Africa in 1966. Nothing else comes close to me. Here's a link to it. http://www.jfklibrary.org/Historical+Resources/Archives/Reference+Desk/Speeches/RFK/Day+of+Affirmation+Address+News+Release.htm What's your favorite?

The Gettysburg Address, hands down.

JFK's Ask not speech. Peace
3 :
"I hereby resign the office of the Presidency, effective immediately." - President Barack Hussein Obama, at a time hopefully not too distant in the future.
4 :
Sermon on the Mount
5 :
The Farewell Speeches by George Washington, Woodrow Wilson, and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Washington: Friend to all nations, entanglements with none. Wilson: "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world - no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." Eisenhower: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."
6 :
Since it dealt with politics of the country, the I Have A Dream speech. As far as a speech *by* a politician, I like the Checkers speech by Nixon, just as an example of how people can be bamboozled; and JFK's first inaugural.
7 :
Winston Churchill's "We will fight them on the beaches"
8 :
FDR's economic bill of rights speech
9 :
Checkers.

Would have had a better chance of it when you where not close to your limit it also depends on how long you have had the card

Before the economy tanked they probably would have. But Capital One has notoriously tightened the reigns for the last 2-3 years. I wouldn't hold my breath for this. You have better luck getting a student card through your bank. Never hurts to ask, all they can say is "no".

Hello, Most companies require that you have the card for at least 1 year before filling for an increase. If you have good payment history and a year track record it only takes a phone call to find out if they will increase it. You can call 800-955-7070 (customer service). When the automated system starts there is an option to request a credit line increase or you can request an increase via customer service with a live representative. I always recommend speaking with a representative as it seems you do better (personal experience) that route. According to a Capital one rep, credit increases do NOT count as a "hard inquiry" (something that hurts your score.) By the way, a representative told me their is no credit check, they just do a "snapshot summary" of your account checking the following: any over limit fees, paying history, length of time with Capital One. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Joe Orsak (866)802-3470 jorsak@ImproveMyCreditUSA.com ImproveMyCreditUSA.com

Can I enter Australia with my South African Passport but leaving from Taiwan?

Can I enter Australia with my South African Passport but leaving from Taiwan?
I am currently a citizen of South Africa and Taiwan (By Birth). I am going to study in Australia, which means I would need to apply for a student visa. I can only apply on ONE of my 2 passports (They both level 1 for the visa so it makes no difference in the difficulty on obtaining the visa). My question is this, Will I be able to go into Australia IF I applied my student visa on my South African Passport BUT I do not fly from South Africa but from Taiwan instead? Thus it makes my journey Taiwan ----> Australia, then at passport control I hand them my South African passport which has my visa to enter that country. Is that possible? Your help would be greatly appreciated! ^^ PS: Going to study in University of Queensland~ Soo excited!
